Humble Yourselves in the Sight of the Lord

When Hurricane Rita formed I was wondering about the timing and significance and praying about this storm.

A couple of observations: Rita was birthed on September 17^th as reported in the first advisory issued at 11pm on the 17^th.

I haven’t noticed anything in direct relation to Israel like I had with Hurricane Katrina. However, I do find it very interesting that the day before, on September 16^th at 11am there was a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service for the victims of Hurricane Katrina at the Washington National Cathedral in our nation’s capital.

I don’t really find any fault with what he says (on first listen anyhow), however, I do find it interesting that there was no mention of repentance in relation to Israel or even in our own lives. In other words – this was just a storm – just a coincidence. I think of the kings of the Old Testament time and when troubles would come, many would humble themselves and cry out to God. Not so in these days of current Biblical times.
