Was Hurricane Katrina a Signal Flag?

Being a firm believer in the Bible as God’s Word, I have come to the conclusion that America is Babylon mentioned in Jeremiah 50 & 51. There are many reasons for this belief. I could be wrong but I see a lot of similarities between current events and These two chapters! I will not post those reasons here but will give links to some articles explaining those reasons. Click here for a list news articles. Are they just a coincidence?

It doesn’t take too much to connect the current events of our time to the Word of God. I humbly and strongly urge you to sit down and read the Bible – most specifically Jeremiah chapters 50 & 51. Follow the links to take you to the online copy of Jeremiah 50 and Jeremiah 51.

There is a reason why the destruction in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama has been described as “an environmental disaster of biblical proportions” We are still in Biblical days folks. There are still some prophecies that still need to be fulfilled. The book hasn’t been closed yet! We would all be wise to dive into the scriptures and pray for insight from the Holy Spirit on the meaning of His Word and how it applies to today in Biblical History that is being played out right before our eyes.

Is Hurricane Ophelia another Signal Flag? Or is it just another coincidence?

Interesting article about destruction of Gaza Synagogues halted until Sunday.

Another coincidence in timing? What will Hurricane Ophelia do on Sunday and beyond?

Jesus replied, “Your problem is that you don’t know the scriptures and you don’t know the power of God.” Mark 12:24 (NLT)

This wasn’t just some smart remark that He made. This is our two main problems – we don’t read the scriptures! What are the scriptures? The same books that Jesus read – the Old Testament. We need to read the Old Testament and the New Testament. The other problem is not knowing the Power of God. What is the Power of God? It is the Good News of Christ – His work of salvation to everyone who believes. Not just believe in God but put our simple trust in the death of Jesus on the cross to be our payment for our sins. Paid for. All of them. Past. Present. And Future. Nothing else is required. Just trust. That is Grace. That leads to life!

But Jesus didn’t remain dead for long. He rose from the dead, just like the scriptures said. Jesus Himself proclaimed that He would rise again. It happened. Romans 4:25 says that “he was raised from the dead to make us right with God.”

Now what? What do we put our trust in? How do we respond to that Truth? How does that truth get displayed in our lives?
